Joe Zeff
Joe Zeff is president of Joe Zeff Design.
Before opening the studio, Joe worked at newspapers and magazines as an editor, reporter and designer. He climbed the ladder at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Detroit Free Press and The New York Times, where he was the newspaper’s first Presentation Editor and designed Metro and Business pages. He moved to Time magazine, where he advanced from Associate Art Director to Deputy Art Director to Graphics Director. Joe was among the first to recognize the potential of using animation software to create realistic 3D graphics for print, and his team produced beautifully rendered graphics that inspired artists worldwide to combine illustration with information using computer-generated imagery.
Joe has led Joe Zeff Design since 2000, including a 15-month stint as the Creative Director of Splashlight in New York City. He lives in Montclair, NJ with his wife and three children.
